As if the ride wasn’t hard enough. Keeping good paperwork is tougher. I had to triple check it to make sure everything lined up and I think I’m finally ready to submit it. For my own reference, here’s a link to my Google route with gas stops.
I leave Londonderry NH April 3 for North Augusta SC for an IBA 1000 attempt.
KSU TBD, Likely very early Wednesday morning (1 or 2 AM) in hopes to be in SC by dinner time.
Thursday April 4, if the IBA goes well, is a rest day in NA, SC
Friday-Sunday April 5-7 Tail of the Dragon
Sunday- Wednesday April 7-10 (Maybe Thursday) Backroads from Two Wheel Inn to home.
Rough route so far:
First leg is to a Bridge in KY…

No Stops planned along the way back home so far except for the bridge in KY. If anyone wants to tag along for part for the ride in either direction let me know.
On October 20, 2012 DH’s Dog House turned 5. The owner celebrated this by posting on his Facebook page that he was giving away T-Shirts to the first 100 customers who ordered one of his specials. Being October in New England the weather can be iffy at best for riding. I decided to make his mile stone into a (hopefully) annual ride for the locals. It would have to be a short enough ride that we could all get home before dark. But how do you leave DH’s Dog House at 656 Mammoth Road Manchester, NH 03109 and get to any “good roads” in time to be back before dark in October?? Here’s how….
140 Miles of some Southeastern NH back roads. With an average speed of about 29mph (the roads were a little wet in the beginning and the leaves were out too..) this trip was 4H:51m Leaving after an early lunch at 11:30, we had plenty of daylight to get us home. This route can be enjoyable in the reverse direction as well, ending at the Dog House for some inexpensive tasty chow works for me! Just remember to have cash on hand.
